We are pleased to welcome you to the web site of the Howard County Auditor’s Office.    This web site is designed to provide you with information about our office and the services we provide.    Our goal is to help you easily utilize the services and resources available to you. 

The Auditor, by virtue of Indiana Statute, is elected by the residents of Howard County and is limited to serving two consecutive terms in office.

Are you currently receiving the Homestead Deduction on your primary residence?  The Homestead Deduction can significantly reduce your property taxes. 

If yes please check whether or not our office has received your Homestead Verification Form.  To do so, please review our database containing the Homesteads without Verification by clicking the link below.  If you find your property listed in the database, the Auditor’s Office has not received a Homestead Verification Form or the form was incomplete.  If your property is not listed, then the Auditor has already received the required Verification.

If you are new to Howard County and Howard County is now your primary residence, please call our office at 765-456-2215 or come in to The Howard County Admin. Bldg., Room 222, 220 N. Main St., Kokomo.   We will be happy to help you file your deductions. Also, please check with us or in the property records on this website to confirm that we have all of your allowable deductions on file.  Again, if you have questions, please call or come in to our office.
