The Robert J. Kinsey Youth is pleased to
announce the addition of diagnostic services as a level of services
provided by our Shelter Care and Secure Detention units. Diagnostic
services will be provided in agreement with The Family Psychiatric
Center, Dr. McClurg PhD, Dr. Roegner M.D., Chris Simpson LCSW, JSOCC
Diagnostic services will consist of a 14 day period, including weekends
and excluding holidays. This will allow appropriate time for testing.
Verbal reports will be available within a few days of completion. Final
written reports will be ready in 10 days following the last day of the
child’s diagnostic stay.
Assessment, testing and evaluation will include;
Psychosocial assessment
Psychosexual assessment, as indicated
SASSI-A2 as indicated
MAYSI II screening
Youth Level of Service/Case Management Inventory
Health Physical
CASEY Lifeskills assessments
Educational Assessment (including GED pre-test as indicated)
21 Risk Factors for Sexual Offending
CANS
The psychological evaluation will identify or rule-out;
ADHD
Learning Disability or intellectual deficits
Anxiety
Bipolar Disorder
Thought Disorder (e.g., Schizophrenia, etc.)
Behavioral Disorders (e.g., ODD, Conduct Disorder)
Psychological evaluation will include, but will not be limited to the
use of the following instruments;
MMPI-A
Beck Combination Inventory
Wechsler Intelligence Scale (Utilized to formulate a full scale IQ)
Verbal Comprehension Index
Working Memory
Processing Speed
Proverbs/Abstract Reasoning
Wishes and Fears Index
Psychiatric evaluation will also be conducted and will include
medication review and/or medication recommendations as appropriate.
Per Diem rates for these services are:
Secure Detention $320
Shelter Care $120 daily per diem plus DCS contracted service rate per hour
Regular per diem rates will occur prior to the beginning of testing and
following if you wish the youth to be detained during those times.
