Howard Superior Court 1

The Howard Superior Court 1, is a court of general jurisdiction, created by the Indiana Legislature in 1953. Judge Menges is the sixth Judge to serve the Court. Currently, the Court hears primarily criminal drug and domestic violence cases. The Court has established an Adult Drug Court Program, a Domestic Violence Program, and has just received provisional certification from the Indiana Judicial Center to start a Reentry Program.

FILINGS:

Pleadings may be filed in person during regular business hours, by mail, or by fax (with a hard copy to follow by regular US mail). The Court does not accept electronic filings.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

The Court is open daily, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, except for legal holidays as declared by the Howard County Commissioners.
